Re: How I spent my day.....

I still have to wire up the lights, install the guideposts w/ lights. Just got too late in the day and of course the sun was blazing down near 90 degree with 80% humidity.

Once that's done its on to the boat. I did actually get some demo in the boat done whilte the paint was drying. I had the kids remove the glovebox and instrument panel, which I'm going to paint and re-use. Removed the seats, pulled all the old wiring out, old hardware etc. One thing I found out though was the previous owners did a half *** job with the floor replacement. they plywooded it back in, but didn't had a top layer of fiberglass. I'm going to have to get that done before anything else gets started.

I hope both my trailers look half as good as yours once I get workin on em FB!!!

My kids LOVE boat demo :D They helped pull all the stuff off the Bayliner, and have been a huge help with the foam in both. Gave em some claw hammers and a pry bar. Sat back and watched em go to town!!

Question...on the bunks, what are those small pieces of somethin on em, the stuff on top of the carpet?

They are bunk slides. Made of some composite material that lowers the friction of sliding your boat on and off. Mine are called Caliber? Marine Trailer Slides?, 3" W x 15" L. I got them from an iboats competitor. Granted, iboats has something similar, just not like these.

As for the bunk carpet, I was able to pick it up on clearance at Lowe's. Has marine backing and is suitable for bunk application. Granted, its not the color I would have ideally chose, but what they heck...gotta save some money somewhere.

Thanks! Don't know what your plans are for your trailers but what I used to paint mine was Ace Hardware's Rust Stop High Gloss Black. It went on pretty easy, plus not only can you get it in cans, they also have it in spray. It helps to get to those tricky spots. They have many other colors as well.[/
