Re: How many are O'Reilly fans here?

The following may not be exactly factually correct, but I think I got the basics. Don't watch much T.V. anymore, BUT- I did see OReilly about 2-3[not sure]yrs. ago.A lady that had 2 daughters kidnapped by their father(think he may nave been Saudi Arabian)and he took them to Saudi Arabia when they were small children[2-4 yrs. old I think].At time of this show they were around 18-21.The mother had been trying for yrs. to get them back.
Finally, some senators agreed to go to S.A. to see if they could get them.OReilly, somehow  ,arranges to get an interview w/ the girls at embassy in London @ exactly the time the senators are supposed to be there and see the girls. Also,OReilly did not tell the mother that he was doing this  .
The person that did the interview said the girls "handlers" nodded at certain questions and they answered those.
OReilly tells the mother on national TV that the girls are brainwashed and they said they do not want to come home to their mother and they should stay in S.A.
This whole thing stunk. How did OReilly get that meeting arranged? Why did he not tell the mother he was doing this and send her to London so she could see them? Why did he side w/ the S.A. father and the S.A. govt.?Why did he not contact somebody who could've done a snatch oper. while the girls were in London and got them home to their mother? It may have taken yrs. to "unbrainwash" the girls, but so what-they had been forced for yrs. to live over there.
This whole thing made me  .My opinion of OReilly went way down.
Sorry if this post is too long.Just my .02.

I too am a Fox News fan - just cause THEY agree with ME more than other networks :D . O'Reilly fals in line with Rush - used to love them, still listen to them on occasion, but don't go out of my way to hear them any more.

F&B reporting? Impossible in this day and age. People aren't satisfied with the facts, just the facts. We want commentary - tell us what it means. We are too stupid to figure anything out ourselves! Afterall, why do we need to have commentators speak for 30 minutes after a political address to tell us what the person just said. Didn't we hear it the first time? One of my many pet peeves, in case you couldn't tell!

Good point Aspeck, before I started listening to
Rush I was to stupid to figure it out. I was becoming a good liberal, it was easy and convenient. I did not like him one bit at first because I didnt understand his humor. Then the predictions he made came true and still do to this day. He been wrong a few times.. but hes the first to admit it. Hail to the MA HA Rushie! :D :D
