how many nicks and dings is to many

i have a 1986 2150 with a 280 volvo outdrive. it has a few nicks and dings in the prop.i was wanting to know how bad is to bad before you have it rebuilt or replaced without messing things up .and thanks for any info

If it causes vibration, you need to fix it.

all about effiency at 4000 rpm that 1 nick could make you lose power

I'm particular (and have a lot of spares), none, unless they are small enough to file out.
