how many people fit on my boat??

Does any body know what is the limit for people borting a 1978 15 feet sandollar power boat? Has any body ever heard of a boat called sandollar? This boat does not have the label saying capacity of people.

Have you done any surfing for info on this???? I wish I could remember the year BIA made it mandetory to have a capacity plate.....If it falls into that catagory, It's not legal to operate on public waters. I don't think this (hopefully) would be your case, but it needs checked out.........

I have look all over the net but it seems this boat does not exist I hope I didnt make a mistake buying this boat this is my first boat!

It has to in the middle of the boat then it has to side rows in the front. It looks like its missing to more in the back..

I've found several of these boats on the net, and they are ALL jet-boats that I've found, also all tri-hull configuration. Should be a steady platform, but that has nothing to do with capacity.<br /> How many people can be in the boat, full of water, and still remain AT the surface would be the info we're looking for.<br /> I have found zero on capacities for the sandollars I've located.........sorry???

Daniely, you say on your other post on "need more power", that your max weight, people, motor and gear is 1400lbs. THAT is your answer, my friend..........

While I have no idea as to the legalities, doesn't the USCG have a length x beam divided by ? that would be a good place to start? Right now, I don't remember the ?, but I'm sure I once found it on the net. Probably was on the USCG site.<br /><br />Charles

I used to have a Glastron TriHull, 156C, that might be comparable. It was rated for 85 HP max.<br />My boat was older then this one and it had the capacity chart on it. Maybe you should try to find a comparable boat and use that as a basis.

In Australia 15ft = No more than 5 adults.<br />Don't know about there.

Daniely, www.teshio.com<br />There was one other I found on my PC at work in Hays, but I can't find it listed on my search feture on my home carrier. This one here just shows a sandollar boat. Go down thru manufacturers, 'till you see sandollar and click on that.......I'll check again at work when I go back sunday night.
