This is my first post here, glad to have found such an interesting forum.
As you can see from my signature, I own a 115 2t Mod. 1991 Yamaha, in a very good condition.
My mechanic proposed to use a 0,5% oil premixed in the fuel tank "just in case something goes wrong with my oil pump".
At the same time I also add fuel conditioners such as Stabil, Seafoam, ring free etc. in the fuel, as a precautionary measure...
Question.
I am leaning the mixture with all this stuff I add in the fuel. How do I know, I am not leaning it on the... expensive side of repairs ? How can one tell, if the mixture is the right one ? Just looking at the plugs after a good thrash ? Any other sign ?
