How much oil does the 3.0L mercruiser take. How much oil does the lower unit take? I am trying to put together a check list of supplies I need this weekend to winterize. I have most of the stuff but I may have forgotten something. Any suggestions?
going from memory here.....<br /><br />1. Fuel stabilizer 16 oz per 30 gal of gas<br />2. Fogging oil 1 can<br />3. Oil 6 quarts should be more than enough<br />4. I think the alpha took a quart of oil, buy 2<br />5. antifreeze, not the ethylene. I'd get 3 gallons.
g<br />your going to need 5 quarts of motor oil MAX and about 1 and 1/2 bottels of gear lube<br /><br />its very inportant to fill to the plug and then put in the plug and pump oil up to the reserve tank to get out all the air<br /><br />tommays
