How much epoxy should I buy.

I would like to know how much Epoxy and fiber glass, and fiber is needed to do a stingers and floor of an 18 ft boat? Take in the fact that I have never done fiber glass before but, not afraid.

I just finished redoing a 19 footer that involved replacing the floor and interior transom with one layer of 7 1/2 ounce cloth over both and several coats of epoxy resin to waterproof it.<br /><br />Total resin was just under 4 gallons at about $50.00 a gallon

my vote is for 10 gallons also. I am in the finishing stages of an 18' with a transom replacement and I have used 14gal. But I got a little sloppy, and no it was't due to the beer.

I previously said 10 gals but used 13 gals of epoxy on a recent 17' project. It was beefed up with extra glass everywhere plus all the sealing, gap filling and gluing. I think it was 20 yds of 30"w x 18oz woven roven and 10 yds of 48"w x 1.5oz mat. Poly projects take less resin because you don't gap fill or glue with it.
