How much is a 1972 25hp Evinrude

I am looking to put a tiller outboard on my 74 Ouachita. I have never bought an outboard and dont know prices.
I found one for 550 it is a 1972 25hp evinrude that was converted to a push start tiller. Is that a going or descent rate?

Seems high to me. Depends alot on where you are located, but in my area, $250-300 would be about the range for a RUNNING motor.

I sold a '72 25 hp. evinrude electric start/tiller for $525 last spring,but I'd painted it, replaced the clutch dog and fwd gear, resealed gear case, complete water pump, new head gasket, carb rebuild, all new ignition components, top crank seal...all to say, condition is everything and if you can't run it on a boat to test it, best beware....here in east tn, for those year model 25's..$450-800 is the asking price
