I was just wondering how much my old mercury 500 might be worth? I think its about 1972, it came on a old speed boat i brought for £500! just a rough estimate?

A running 500 in decent cosmetic shape with all the controls and cables might be worth $500 US. That would be pretty much a maximum.

Hi n12 Here in RIP OFF BRITAIN outboards go for a hell of a lot more money than in the States. Your engine if its a runner and in fair condition could be worth anything from £300 upwards.From a dealer you could be looking at £6-700 for that engine.
