How much lower oil,older 10 hp merc.

We just changed the lower oil in my cousins older merc 9.8 hp,it says kiehaefer on the hood,(I think thats how you spell it),thats how old it is.We let it drain,till it was done,and started pumping in oil,it only seemed to take about 4 ounces,is this normal,I am used to the 30 something on my 90 hp.

as long as you pumped it in properly from the<br />bottom until it came out the top, you should<br />be fine.
