How much some in exhaust?

Question. I have a 99 Johnson 50 and want to know how much smoke should be visible in the exhaust when running the motor out of the water with the hose muffs on. It started right up and has a good stream of water. The smoke goes down sone after a few minutes. I'm a new boat owner so I'm curious. Thanks.

First question is how do you measure smoke ??? a little?? a lot ?? or a clout that you can not see the motor ??
Yes there will be smoke coming out as the oil is part of the combustion process in a 2 stroke. I don't see any real way to answer this without a photo of it or a video showing it running.
