Hi, <br />I have a 16' aluminum boat with 48" bottom. The boat is designed like a bass boat and weighs 400lbs without motor and gear. It goes around 40mph with a 50hp Merc. I am thinking of getting a Hanko's aluminum bay boat 16' with a 60" bottom and putting my 50hp on it. It weighs around 720lbs without motor. <br /><br />Can anyone tell me about how much MPH I will loose? Also, is a wider boat better for speed than a narrow boat? <br /><br />Thanks, <br />DT
