how much thrust

Maybe no one would know this for sure, but i have a 15.5 foot fiberglass tri-hull boat and im wondering how many lbs of thrust would be enough to move the boat, lets say 3mph. I would be transom mounting it. Im trying to determine if a trolling motor could do this as i feel it would be cheaper than trying to find a small kicker motor.

oh, it has a 60 hp motor on it that weighs 210 lbs, im not sure how much the boat weighs itself as its at my uncles and so the bia certifified plate is in there obviousy...but its on the heavy side

Based on the chart I found on MinnKota's website, I'd say 36-40 lbs should be about right.
