How much will this cost?

I have a glastron ssv177 w/a mercruiser 165hp. Out at the lake yesterday when I got into some real shallow water, so shallow that the outdrive was in the dirt. I shut down the engine and pushed the boat out of the shallow. After that the trim didn't want to work very well, but then started again. I thought maybe some dirt was clogging things up and had worked its way out. Then the trim stopped working at all. I think it was just a coincidence but the blower and the bilge pump also stopped working. I loaded up and went home. When I got home I noticed an oil stain where I usually park the boat. Started looking at the engine and I see where oil was in the bilge, and the trim pump was also slick with oil. So I'm pretty sure that the trim pump was leaking oil before I went out to the lake that day and that's why it stopped working. I already have an appointment to get it fixed. What sort of repairs could I be looking at for the trim, and does anybody have a ballpark cost for the repairs? Could there be any relationship between the trim quitting working and the bilge pump and blower stopping? Thank you.

Re: How much will this cost?

depends on if the trim pump itself is leaking or a hose. don't really see any relationship between the trim pump and the bilge and blower. I do see the possibility of a common ground connection coming loose or getting dirty. I would start looking there at the bilge pumpblower/ issue. No one here is going to be able to tell you accurately how much it will cost until they know exactly what is wrong
