How soon do butterflies begin to open on 85 hp?

Did the link and synch from Frank's sticky but still having WOT issues.....butterflies in the three carbs do not even begin to open until past half throttle.....is that right???.....control handle "forward" stops short of sending throttle cam all the way forward to where butterflies open fully....is the way to remedy that to extend the throttle adjuster rod out even more, or go to the control box and adjust the throttle cable in some to quicken the opening of the butterflies.... confused but still reelblessed...

As soon as the black roller is moved.
The butterflies start to open.

Thanks Jerry, but what adjustment to make , mine are closed until cam is half way open on roller....Frank's sticky says that the cam is to just touch the black roller with the scribed line pointing at the screw....that is the way it is set......I am missing something, I think.

there is no adjustment in the control, only on the engine end of the cable.
