How tall are you guys biminis?

I have a 25 ft Donzi. I bought a bimini from a marine store and on there size chart they ahvbe that all of theyre biminis are 48" tall.

Well I didnt think anything of it but when I got it it is wayyyyyy too tall. I tried shortning it with the adjustments on it but its impossible, Im gonna have to cut it then adjust it.

You can tell looking at the boat that its way too tal and it is pretty much useless being that tall because unless the sun is directly above you it doesnt block the sun.

I think it needs to be about 1 ft lower. At least 8" lower.

How tall are you guys biminis? Have any of you had to cut one to make it shorter?

Personally I like one as low as I can stand it. I have cut and lowered a couple. I like the lower profile look, more coverage from sun, and is more stable......Your chioce.

Im assuming I just cut the pole that goes into where it attaches to the boat and then use the adjustments to make it tight again.

I will take some pics and post them here.
