Have a 2008 Bayliner FS 195 with a 4.3 Mercruiser and alpha 1 drive. Had to removed the trim tilt system to replace the solinoids. Is the system self-bleeding? If not how is bleeding air from system done.
Thanks,

Yes, it will self bleed, just run it up down several times and watch the reservoir so it does get to low

Yes, watch the reservoir and do not let it run dry.

Also, a word of caution. Give the trim pump motor a few moments to cool down after a few cycles.

assume bravo III is the same? I, for some stupid reason, removed my trim cylinders when I pull the transom asy out of the boat...I would have thought there would have been a messy bleeding procedure- have not gotten that far yet to look or ask!
