Must be somethin' wrong with my cat Digby. She let's she herself clip her claws, give her meds when she was fixed. Course when shes' asleep, don't mess....unless it's me cause she likes me. Don't like the kids messin' either. She heads to the bedroom when the kids show up. Found her in the closet one time during a birthday party for the grand daughter. Wouldn't come out for nobody but me. Neat little creature she is.

Re: How to Give a cat a pill.

Friend of mine had a large tomcat that was living under her house. She wanted to catch it for some reason.I rigged up a trap by draping a rope over a dog feeder with the idea that when the cat put it's head through the loop in the rope I could just pull him in. It looked like I was flying one of those string guided model airplanes and after about the second time around he got loose...and I was glad he did. I like cats and didn't mean to hurt him, don't think I did.

Heres another method:

1) Cut off cats head.

2) Ram pill down throat of open wound.

3) Sew cats head back on.

This process must be done quickly to insure sucess.

Kenny

My big cat, Spark, wears a choke chain and will attack any man or beast in my house to retreat. He attacked my friends Yellow Lab so fiercly she won't even come up the steps anymore. Before people can come in the house we have to trick him into the basement by throwing food down the stairs and slamming the door behind him.

To give him a pill I wrap the pill in bacon, feed it to a Chihuahua and give the Chihuahua to Spark.

Re: How to Give a cat a pill.

My sister had an adorable mutt named bambi, and she would bring her over to the house now and then cause my grandfathers dog, who after he passed away became MY dog, loved her to pieces, Bear was a big mean ruff and tough German Shepard that was sooooo WRAPPED by bambi it wasnt funny, almost laughable

bambi was somewhere around 80 pounds, bear over 120, (not fat tho, just BIG!) so even when she would hi speed slam him, the big beast didnt budge much, but bear basically had three speeds, eat stop and flop

the neighbors had one of those big mean mountain lion sorta cats, and one day sis showed up, and bambi went around the side of the house, and immediately started growling then yipe-ing

Im running around from the driveway around to the far side of the house, and Bear comes FLYING out thru the screen door, bye bye screen, thank GOD it was summer, lol, and goes like a rocket around the house. Bambi is all bloody, and Bear is making a sound ive never heard before, a Beast from HELL sound. The cat launches itself at Bear, claws out, like its going to take his eyes out (nasty god dammn cat! ) Not that there was anything I WOULD do, but truly, there was nothing I could do - Bears head moved so fast it actually blurred, I head the snap of those jaws closing and the body of a cat flying far over my head

Its head was still in Bears mouth, his teeth were stuck in the cats skull. I helped him get the head out of his mouth, and he went straight to bambi and started licking her wounds. Several stitches later, bambi left the vets office, any longer and the cats claws would have ripped her carotid, cats are nasty vicious beasts and a big one WILL tear a dog up!

Unless you have a fiercely overprotective ex K-9 Shepard for a guardian angel that is!

:D :D :D :D :D :D
