Hello, I am a new boater. I looked at a used boat which I really liked and want to buy. Owner says he had a brand new engine put in few years back. It originally came with OMC motor and OMC Cobra outdrive. Owner told me that he replaced the old motor with Mercruiser 302 (GM block) and had the outdrive rebuilt. When I looked in the engine compartment, all parts say OMC. Outdrive is still OMC Cobra. How do I find out for sure what motor this boat has?
