Going to look at boat with 50 hp Force in morning. What stuff should I be on the look out for, like, is there slack to be expected if'n I move the prop left n right. :confused:Not sure what to be on the lock out for, so any advice would help..
Thank you!

Try to find basic parts like a water pump, cdi and coils then see if you still want it.

No one makes parts for them anymore.

You want to at least check compression and spark, fi not hear it run.

Try asking this question down in the Force section of this forum, lots of good, smart guy's in that section & should be able to clue you in on what you should look for.

Look at the general condition of the engine. If the owner kept the outside in decent shape, chances are he did not abuse the engine. How does the prop look? All beaten and bent or normal wear? Check for spark on both cylinders. Remove the plugs and put your thumb over the hole. Turn the flywheel by hand. It should blow your thumb off the hole forcefully.

Basically, if it had spark and compression, it should be decent and your common sense will tell you the rest.
