How to instal new seals in lower unit

Winterized my 1985 35hp Johnson/Evinrude outboard this past weekend and noticed my lower gear oil was milky. *&#@ ! I guess its time to change my seals ...

1. on a scale of 1 to 4 where 1 is a lower unit gear oil change and 4 is rebuilding my carb ....how difficult is it to change my own seals ?

It could just be the washers on the oil fill & drain plugs. I'd try changing the gear oil and put in new washers before tearing apart the gear case.

I haven't had to take apart a gear case, but I've seen other posts on that topic. It appears to be straightforward.

Someone else who has done this may offer advice. If not, try the search option.
