How to Install a tachometer in a MD7B?

Hi... I need some help installing a tach in my MD7B. I have the correct tach and sensor but I'm not sure how to vire it up.

Any help would be great, thanks..

There should be four wires a red one, white, black and green. The red wire should be hooked up to a power source that is turned on when you turn the ignition on like the + terminal on your ignition switch. the black is ground, white is the light in the tach and the green should go to the negative side of the coil. Set the dial on the back of the tach for what ever amount of cylinders you have, then test it out.

If you have the Volvo tach, there will be +,-,G &W on back. + is ignition, - is ground and G&W go to pulse sender mounted into gear case. that should give you proper operation.
