how to kill a 1973 evinrude 50hp manually

i want to try my motor in the garage but have no idea where the kill switch is if i start it manually with a jumper box to the starter.

Manually choke it to death.

Agree, choke it to death and make sure you have water going to it if you start it, takes about 10 seconds to fry an impeller with no water.
