How To Leave Engine In Freezing Weather

I am a duck hunter and I need to know the correct way to leave my engine overnight on the lake where I hunt during freezing weather. Do I leave the engine down with the lower unit under water or do I tilt the engine up? If I tilt the engine up, how do I make sure all the water is out of the engine? I greatly will appreciate all your information. Thank you!

Leave it down, in the water.<br />I fish in subfreezing weather all the time, and typically put mine on the trailer overnight. It'd be easier if I could leave it in the water....<br /><br />Dave
