Now that I have a new extended swim platform and an SE Sport hydrofoil on the outdrive, the outdrive can be raised too far out/up to interfere with the swim platform.

How do I limit the amount the trailer button can raise the outdrive?

I've got a FSM for the outdrive, just can't find the place to make this adjustment (if there is one).

Alpha I Gen II drive.

Thanks

I think it will be the limit switch on the gimbal housing on the port side, if it is like my Model I. It looks like a round cover with 2 black wires coming off of it. Loosen the locking screw and rotate it to change the setting.

I don't think the trailer position has a limit adjustment. On my alpha 1 it raises until the cylinders stop.
The only limit switch is for trim while running.

That's what I am afraid of.

If you have a trim guage maybe you could put a small mark on it just before it makes contact, then you could just stop a little short of the mark.

DougV>

My manual makes no distinction of Models, but has info on the limit switches for types of trim systems. The limit switch is needed to prevent dmage to the outdrive from operation while raised too far up. Look for the switch or a place to mount it on the outdrive, on the axis of tilting.
