how to make home made waterslide?

What materials could I use to make a home made waterslide?

Flexible plastic culvert cut in 1/2 seems like a doable slide, but much to 'bumpy' on the inside if just skinned with thin plastic. Ideas? What kind of plastic would work well to 'slide along'.

Our cabin sits about 40ft from the shore. It gradually drops about 7 feet over 20' then drops 16 feet to the beach. My son is 3 so he's just getting 'into' these things. I'm going to build a bobsled run this winter and something like a waterslide is just the perfect thing to occupy my mind at 3AM when my insomnia kicks in.

that slide is awesome!

A friends house is on a big hill, and in upstate NY. More cows than people, so its easy to find 'Ag bag', the white plastic they pack full of silage. Unrolled 100' of it onto the hill, hit it with the hose and some dish detergent, and in no time you're doing 30mph on your back.

Thanks guys....I spent a 1/2 hour watching vids before I posted.

Looks hilarious...I think something stupid, but works is the definition of success.

"ag bag"! Good one. My wife comes from a farm, they have lots.

Costco sells those knee boards that are foam and hard plastic on the bottom.

Hmmmm, a plan is developing...

Aren't billboards nowadays made with giant plastic canvas-y type material? Those would work great if you could get one.
