Re: how to put bowrider on stands

Welcome to iboats.

Tri hull is fairly easy to place on stands.

Place the tongue of the trailer on the ground as low as possible. Place stands under the rear of the boat by the corners (where you can have a solid support)........ now jack the front of the boat by lifting the trailer tongue...... the back of the boat should be firmly on your supports now and basically higher than the original trailer supports.

Connect up your tow hitch and start to pull the trailer slowly and carefully from under the boat...... before the boat drops off the trailer place a V support under the center hull as close to the trailer as possible. Finish removing the trailer.

Hmmm that sounds easy enough, I think I would tie the transom back so you don't pull it off the rear block. You could probably tie off to the stern eyes and drive a couple stakes into the ground at an angle for an anchor point, then you won't pull the boat off the blocks.

if it sits on carpeted bunks then spray the bunks with soapy water to help it slide off

depends how big and heavy it is.
Mine is 20' and heavy so I jack the transom up off the bunks, place supports at each rear corner then jack the front up and place a keel block under it, pull trailer frwd until it reaches the axle then move the keel support behind the axle and pull the trailer out of the way. Takes a while.
I use cinder blocks with plywood pads , car jacks.
A cherry picker is good if you have one.

Bob's got the basic process down.
Of course there are variations depending on hull, weight, trailer type, yadda, yadda, yadda.
It take me about 45 minutes to get the Sea Ray off her trailer. No keel rollers which is a negative. I have to jack up at the keel every trailer rib along the way. This is the hardest boat.
The hydroplane pops right off with a boom hitched up to the tractor and straps. Lotsa uncontrolable sway though.
My neighbor uses cross beams under his Mako this process goes quick.

The other option of course is to jack up one side ...... Paint then do the other side another day. You can leave it on the trailer.

On a Steury Tri Hull I had I used to move it back on the trailer but leave it hooked up. I had access to the entire rear back of the hull and then I would jack one side then the other. I actually sanded the hull that way.
