Hey all, I'm sorry if this is not the right spot to post this, please direct me if it's not.
We are replacing the strut on our boat because it's cracked. The manufacturer of the strut said it could be due to the engine not being aligned properly, the shaft being bent (really banking on it NOT being the shaft) or just due to age of the existing strut.
They said either way we will need to re-align the engine after putting the new strut on...so my question is...does anyone know anything about re-aligning a direct-drive? Do you need a special tool to do this? etc.
I can provide photos of anything requested as well.
Thanks!!
