how to reinstall intake manifold

hey all lookign for some advice on how to reinstall my intake manifold. I just a little confused on the sealents that are supposded to be used.
i know one is supposed to be used along the metal rail that the manifold sits on just curiious of the name and brand i should get.
also do i use a sealent on the gaskets aswell? and the bolts that go in? and any idea of the torque specs of the bolts?

Does that just go on the metal rail or on the gasket two ?

if you have felpro gaskets, the gaskets already have the print-o-seal on them

you put the RTV on the china rails, a bit in the corner where the head meets the block and the intake, and on the bolt threads

if you have the rubber china rail seals, then you simply dab the corners and do the bolt threads

Not knowing WHAT your putting together dosent help us so:
Clean the head surface and manifold surface
paint the water jacket ports in the head with PermaTex Aviation sealant, install intake gaskets, paint gaskets at the water ports
Clean the front and rear rails and place a thick bead 1/4 to 3/8 of Black RTV on the front and rear rails and a dab at the intake manifold ends at the rail
Depending on your application, install guide rods in the intake manifold holes and install manifold
Coat intake bolts with sealant and install and just snug them.DO NOT TIGHTEN
NOW STOP FOR TODAY, tomorrow you will tighten them
Now tighten/torque intake bolts ,connect fuel line and wiring

As Scott said above -- if you have the rubber china rail seals, then you simply dab the corners and do the bolt threads.

And -- Assuming your working on a small block Chevy--

An added word of caution ---Putting RTV over the entire length or the rubber seals has been known to cause them to slip out. I knew someone who did that twice until he reduced the sealant on the 3rd attempt.
