How to remove this seal housing?

Does anyone know how to remove this seal housing from under the waterpump? I need to change the drive shaft seals. 50 hp 4-stroke

That looks like a Mercury LU. Thread may need to be moved.

Yes its a merc, but I think its Yamaha made... 1996 50hp 4-stroke.
Here is a picture of the seal housing....

It is always best to post your make and model # so others know what motor you are talking about

I always do, but since this one is likely Yamaha made, I didn't want to steer away a Yamaha tech from the post by sayin Merc. And offcourse the Mods would move it to the Merc thread where I got no responce.

I got it out. What a poor system....nothing to grab......its pressed in......

I figured from the pic, It sure was'nt coming out of the bottom!
