How to Repair Snaps in Fiberglass Hull

Hello.<br /><br />I did a search but couldn't find anything talking about my question. I've got a couple of snaps pulling out from my fiberglass hull and just wondered what's the best way to repair them?<br /><br />Also, do most people trailer with the snap on covers or are they just for slips? I was told it's okay to trailer but now I'm wondering if that's what caused the snaps to come loose in the hull.<br /><br />Thanks in advance!

The fastest and easiest way I found was to use those little plastic anchors (the kind you use for walls). Slip one in then screw in the snap. Never had one pull back out. <br /> When I bought my boat I brought it back from NY (about 350 miles) with the top on. No problems. But when going to the ramp I usually take it off . With all the stuff I load on before I go and unload when I get home plus washing it off. Its easier to just to get it out of the way. Also I think it gets time to air out (all those fumes trapped under the cover) when towing it without the top.
