hey guys
i think i have the idea but not sure. here it is
i have tanks on the starboard and port side of my boat right now only one is hooked up. i think all i have to do is run a line from the other tank with a shut off valve and tee it into the other line . that way when one runs out all i have to do is open the shut off valve and run off the other tank. dose that sound right? any help or info would be great.
thanks vince

thats what i do... I installed a primer bulb near each tank, as well as one back by the motor. the brass T valve is mounted under the center console...

i have mine set up pretty much the same way....I just put a 3 way valve in at the fuel/water seperator and when one tank runs out just switch to the other tank.

You need the three way valve. You must be able to shut off one tank while running on the other one. If not, when one tank is out of gas, the fuel pump will suck air through the hose from that empty tank. Think of it,,,you can have one empty tank and one full tank and not go anywhere.

One primer bulb between the valve and motor is enough. Or you can use two primer bulbs, one between each tank and the valve.

... and if you use a four way selector valve, it allows easy connection to a portable tank as well.
