How to Take Off Inboard Ski Pole

I have a 1992 Ski Brendella inboard motor. It has a ski pole that sits in front of the motor that you can tie a ski rope too. I need to put new carpet down and need to take the flooring up that is below the ski pole. I have to remove the pole to get this up. There is a bolt under it somewhat diffcult to get too and I am sure it has to come out. What else are they to taking this out just wanted opinion from someone that has taken one off. Thanks

stick your head or camera into the bilge. on my supra, it was bolted to the stringers below. pretty stout piece of metal and the screws were nice and rusty. mine wouldn't come apart but i've read that others have had better luck.
