How TO Tell if '97 Fast Strike is FICHT

I've heard and also read here that the Johnson 175 FICHT engines in the mid 90s had problems. I'm looking at a '97 Fast Strike 175, and want to make sure that it is not FICHT. Owner is not certain and is not in my location. Where is it marked? Thx

The model number will tell but if it's a fast strike it should be carb'd. It either has carbs or fuel injectors.

Yep, carbs. Unfortunately you won't find any fuel injectors on that motor. Still a very good motor.
