how to tell if i have low crankcase vac

hi " i have a 1985 -35hp merc 2 stroke. just tor down to replace lower crank bearing, replaced fuel diaphram all fuel lines,primer bulb ,fittings. cleaned and inspected carb. new seals and o rings. ran good except for bearing before i fired back up. wont hold fuel in filter, site type on motor. i have a water sep before going to engine cleaned checked all lines for air leaks-none .i also have to open shutter on carb to start never did before! ihave a clear hose running from top bearing to botom only 1/2 full of oil, fuel psig is pumping but not keeping up at wot boggs down . any way to check vac side of crankcase? checked pistons 135 and 130 psi as before. any short cuts so i dont hve to split crank case again! the reeds looked great.

If the bearing failed and let crank flop a little it will damage the labyrinth in reed block. This will cause low crankcase pressure that affects fuel pump and idle operation...
