I have a 1969 mercruiser with an inoperative tach. I have 12v and ground at the gauge and believe that I have contuinity in the sensor wire. The gauge does move though. It sits at 2000 RPM when off and goes to 0 when turned on.

I assume this means that I need a new gauge, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to find this thing?

If you mean a tachometer that is the same as the 1969 tachometer you're out of luck. You can replace it with whats available today.

All depends, you may be able to save and reuse your graphics on a similarly configured and calibrated new tach. Have you looked at the manufacturer's website (if still in business)? Not guaranteed, but at least a hopeful starting point.

Ayuh,... As noted above,...
You ain't gonna find an Exact copy of the 1969 vintage tach, unless you shop Used....

About Any tach found in an Automotive or Marine Shop will work on your motor,...
As long as it's not for an Outboard motor...
