How to tie tube tow line?

Here's a simple question, but pardon my ignorance. What's the best way to attach my line for towing a tube to my deckboat? In other words, what kind of knot, etc.

It will be hard to untie any knot. We used to tie a single half-hitch, but pull the short end of the line back through the hitch, so you could pull on it and the knot would untie. The pressure of the tube would tighten up that hitch enough to hold easily.
