how to unplug speedo

2005 Tahoe Q4SF Alpha I Gen II, speedo is not working, used fish hook to pull some junk stuck in the sterndrive inlet, disconnected quick coupler midway up and compressed air does not seem to be coming out of bottom, however some water did drip out, tried running some 25lb fishing line from top to see if it would come out the bottom inlet, "should it" or is there some type of membrane or something there, or should I run a piece of wire down the tube from above? like to fix this today_____thanks and a "safe and sane 4th+++++++++

Shouldn't be any physical restriction in there. Try a wire, just don't pound it in with a hammer or anything. The debris is still probably near the little opening above the bullet. It goes in there, and then has to turn 90 degrees to go up to that fitting. That's most likely where the crud is. Get used to this, it happens A LOT!
