Does anyone know how to water proof a cover? Mine is leaking water right through the material and I don't feel like spending a "G" note on a new one.

New to the Forum, this is great!
Give it a good washing with soap and not detergent and stop at local marine store and pick up some waterproofer.Marykate makes one and so does starbtite. The best (and most expensive) is formula 303 .If you want to go really cheap, stop by Walmart and buy either scotchguard or go to the camping dept and get silicone spray.Saturate the cover after it dries completely from the wash.It will be best to wash it and put it on to dry in place so it does not shrink. Then waterproof it.Charlie
Ive heard you can use Thompsons water seal but have never done it, Had a friend that did it on his old canvas tent and said it worked awesome. Spayed it on with a spray gun.
Go to a camping supply place. They have products for tents & awnings for waterproofing. Don't remember the name but I got one in a gallon can & applied it with a brush.
"CampDry" spray can. Cheaper and better and covers with less, than Scotchguard. Campdry is made for waterproofing fabrics, not making them soil resistant or for use on decks.
