How to winterize a 1992 Mercury 40HP Outboard

Hello.

I need to winterize my 40HP Mecury outboard and wanted to verify the proper steps. I know I need to change the lower unit oil, add a fuel stabilizer and run it until it is out of gas. Are there any other steps needed for this engine? Do I need to fog it or run antifreeze through it? It is a four cylinder, two stroke engine.

any advice would greatly appreciated.

If you provide your engine s/n, I will see if I have the service manual for you. As well, I will get the operations manual which you will have for reference.
