I have a 1983 Beachcraft with a Volvo Penta aq200d motor. Problem last year started with a click on the starter, replaced the starte but found it was the wiring. Went out boating but I keep burning out my ignition coil and can’t figure out how it is supposed to be wired, the purple wire goes to the ignition switch also goes to the resistor, but it seems like the ignition wire should go to the resistor, then pass through then out the other side go to the coil, any help would be greatly appreciated, my wife is about ready to throw in the towel on me having a boat.
