hows this transom wood fit..look?

I see why the guy sold the boat and I'm glad really. If he can't cut something as simple as following a line I would hate to see what he would do elsewhere. I would just scrap that poorly cut piece if it's that far off around the cut out. I know you don't like it being the way it is. What a shame it looks like some good quality wood.

I think youre right... I think of all the rivets I have replaced...banging each one to make sure it isn't just about to fall off(after I paint the boat!!) and I took the rub rail extrusion off to sand and get paint on that area of the aluminum... why put it all back together with a hack job transom board..

I am thinking about the transom cap I need to get and sure enough I think it would fit better and stay on, if the screws went into WOOD!! after they went through the aluminum!
