Howto plug Intake crossover on merc 228

Im putting new gaskets on the intake of my 228 (chevy 305) and was wondering where to find a plug to block off the exhaust crossover port that only helps overheat my engine. Im also upgrading the choke to an electric style so it shouldn't effect it. thanks

Ayuh,.... Yer motor has Other problems if yer blamin' the heat cross over as the cause,...

Yer new gaskets should have little filler/ restricter plates in the package,....

The cross over heats the intake, for fuel proper atomization,.... not just choke operation,...

Donno what yer intake has for a choke stove, so pluggin' it'll need pictures,...

Ok i figured it was the raw water impeller and was gonna install a new one anyway, i just wanted to see my options since i was gonna put a new gasket anyway. Thanks
