i have a yamaha 2003 40hp 2 stroke and i want to make it at least a 60hp. how do i do that? i cant find anything on how to do this. i know i have to change the carbs maybe. any help is appriciated.

Well, it could probably be done, slick, but you would not like it.

You would have to run it on exotic fuel high in nitromethane, turn it about 12,000rpm and rebuild it about every 20 hours. It would cost you in the thousands to do it and nearly that much to rebuild it.

It would not idle below about 1500-2000rpm and would have negligible torque below about 6,000rpm. The tuned exhaust would be audible for miles and the tuned intake would stick out in front like rhino tusks.

It would make a lot more sense to just go buy a 60hp.
