was running about 3200rpm. went to adjust trim, tried to kill engine. up or down was like i was pulling the kill switch. got to my fishing hole came to an idle and it tested fine. now it is like the engine is only running on 4 cylinders. can only run about 4200 rpm wot. usually runs 5300 wot. i have read about hpdi's have had fowling probs. engine is a 04 with only 100 hrs.

double check your battery connections at both the engine and battery and any junctions between the two. you have most likly ouled a plug but as a symptom of a problem not a problem.
that system uses a 12v transitor ign with a 12v medium pressure pump and an ECU that requires 9V min to work.
that trim can suck up more juice than the system can supply if any battrey connections are not clean and tight and the symtoms will be engine shut down if the trim is used.
there are 3 tech bullitens on properly gapping the EKU style plugs. read them.
