HR air valves, old vs new adapter height?

I tried one of the newer HR adapters on my old valves and it doesnt work, seems there is a gap in height for a seal. Is there any way around this?

Doesn't work means the inner plastic actuator of the adapter doesn't push the pin of HR valve properly ? Is current valve the one with a yellow pin? Can you post a pic of the adapter ?

You can get the Mercury universal adapter which will work on either one. Part number 8096853

I mean the adaptor wouldnt seal, it is the new version, my boat has the red pins and is caribe. So I just stuck some more rubber on it and it works ;-p
