Hello All,

I have a will cared for 87 Sea Ray Seville that is developing some blemishes/cracks in the hull at or below the water line. Any idea of a cause and corrective action? How common is this problem

Ok, I was trying to resize some pictures to add and got carried away without proof reading before clicked send. Not having any luck with the pics either. Let see if this works. I am trying to get them pasted in this thread but it looks like I will only be able to 'atach' them. I am afraid that resizing them will not let you see the area in question clearly.

640 x 480 is a great size to use and it is forum friendly too.

Re: Hull Blemish/Crack Cause

I can see what appears to be a blister which can be common in boats that stay in the water for long periods of time, like sailboats. Water infiltrates through tiny holes in hull and begin to delaminate the fibeglass.

Not a difficult fix, though.

I can see the crack you mention.

Forget trying to attach pictures to the thread. The forum limitations are soo strict to let us see any real detail. Create a free account on photobucket.com, upload them, and link to them from here.
