hull finish

we have a 1998 sunbird b.r. i don,t know what type of finish is on the hull. we dock it on a small lake in maine. the side of the boat facing out is stained a brownish color. i would like to clean it, but am not sure what to use and not damage the hull finish. thanks for any help

Ahoy, Dansoph.<br /><br />Assuming your boat is fiberglass with a gelcoat finish, three products occur to me. Barkeep's Friend, On and Off, and ZAP!.<br /><br />My favorite is ZAP!, but I think any will work.<br /><br />Good luck.
