Hull fire damage repair

Well, I am still in the fairing process! I was told it is apply and sand repeatedly, and do it again when I think it's enough. I think I'm on my 10th iteration of fairing, at least. But, I'd rather have the finish glass smooth than wavy. I use my hand to feel any imperfections.

That is the way to do it, if you can feel it you can see it. That was they way I was taught in a body shop long ago, has served me well! Hang in there, the prep is always the hardest!

Better to do the same thing multiple times than it is to find out you needed to after you've got a glossy finish on it.
Those imperfections seem to be magnified by the top coat. Keep up the good work. You've done awesome so far!

Thanks for all the positive feedback! A positive about all the sanding is the free physical therapy for my torn shoulder. So bonus -- saving a lot of money from a physical therapist and the boat restoration guys.:)
