Need help purchased boat from my dad and he passed away suddenly. I have left boat untouched for over three years. Now I am trying to get boat registered and a tag for it. I still have bill of sale and thats it no old tag reciet. Went to dmv they said I needed hull number that my dad did not put on bill of sale. I have looked where number is suppose to be no luck boat is a older Allum. Lowe Line 15ft. there is a chance there was a repair made to rear of boat. I was told about there being a hidden hull number somewhere else on boat. This boat is not stolen has been in family over 20 years was registered in my dads name and has tag for 2015 on it. I am in Alabama if that helps thanks

Don't know the answer to your question, but I'm finding the boat needs to have registration numbers and license sticker to have been licensed at one time. SO the boat should have the last registration decal on it. I'll assume the sticker should have a number on it. If it does the dmv should be able to look that up to get the previous hull number, MAYBE?

yea thought that too I gave them the numbers that are state sensitive Al and the yearly sticker had a number and I gave them that it was like they knew what the hull number was and wanted me to confirm it.
